Role Of Bass Guiter In Music

Bass Guiter plays an important role in musician life as without bass the music does not become good.Bass is often one of the most over-looked instruments in a musical group. Many audience members have no idea what a bass even is.

Despite this fact, bass is probably the most critical instrument in a group. It is rare to find a performing band without a bass player. As a budding bassist, you should be happy to know there is always a high demand for bassists—especially good ones.

The Responsibilities of the Bass Player

Traditionally, the bass performs two basic and vital functions within a band or group:
  1. Bass provides the rhythmic foundation.
  2. Bass provides the harmonic foundation.

The Rhythmic Foundation

The rhythmic foundation refers to the consistent pulse of the music. A skilled bassist supports the group by providing a good-feeling, steady pulse. Most music that is well received has a steady rhythm, or beat, to it. This is the responsibility and priority of the bassist. Listen to the following recording. Notice how you can tap your foot to the rhythm of the bass. That is the pulse the bass creates.

The Rhythmic Pulse

The drummer, when present, also aids in providing the pulse. However, don’t be mistaken that it is the drummer's job to create the pulse and you are only along for the ride. Your sense of rhythm must be very solid and independent of anyone else in the group. Each group member should have good rhythm independently while playing together as a whole.
Your rhythmic skills are the most important thing for you to master as a bassist. It doesn’t matter how perfect your choice of notes is. If your notes are in the wrong place rhythmically, it won't feel or sound right.

Deep Purple to Rock Hall?

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame beckons, but don't count on Ritchie Blackmore being there if Deep Purple is chosen to be one of its 2013 inductees.

"Personally, I couldn't care less," the guitarist tells Billboard. "I would never go. I'm not really a fan of that stuff. Considering some of the people that are in the Hall of Fame, I'm not sure if it's a good idea, so I don't care one way or the other, actually."

Rush, Deep Purple (Finally) Nominated for Rock Hall
Deep Purple is one of 15 nominees on the Rock Hall's final ballot, and Blackmore does acknowledge that the nod has been a long time coming.

"I think our fans seem to care more than I do," he notes. "They're always saying, 'You should be in the Hall of Fame. You should be in this, you should be in that...' If I can pay the bills, that's all I care about."

Blackmore, who left Deep Purple for good in 1993 after a third stint with the group, is busy with his current musical concern -- Blackmore's Night, his Renaissance and Medieval music collaboration with his wife Candice Knight. The troupe has just released its third live DVD and CD, "A Knight in York," recorded in September of 2011 at a reputedly haunted venue Blackmore also played with one of his earliest bands, the Outlaws, in 1963. The 14-song set showcases the latest lineup of Blackmore's Night and also features a guest appearance by the couple's two-year-old daughter, Autumn.

Introduction to thamel in Nepal

Thamel is a popular tourist destination in Kathmandu, Nepal. It is a full Wi-fi zone in Nepal.Thamel has been the centre of the tourist industry in Kathmandu for over four decades starting from the hippie movement when many artists came to Nepal and spent weeks in Thamel. Even though Thamel has been referred to as the "ghetto" by some, most low-budget travelers consider it a tourist heaven.

Its concentration of narrow streets are lined with small shops selling everything from food and provisions to clothes, walking gear, cakes, pastries, music, DVDs, handicrafts, travel agents and budget hotels.
The area has some very good restaurants. Although prices tend to be significantly higher than non-tourist areas, food hygiene is generally a lot better too.

Thamel also acts as the pre-base camp for mountaineers. It boasts a wide range of mountaineering gear shops, foreign money exchange booths, pubs, clubs and nightlife along with the numerous travel agents and guest houses. All in all, Thamel is home to a wide range of audience of the Nepalese population for entertainment and employment purposes. On Wednesday, 28 September 2011, Thamel was declared a full Wi-fi zone in Kathmandu.

After Shooting, Searching for Clues in the Music of Hate

As a teenager, Wade M. Page, the 40-year-old gunman who killed six people and wounded three others at the Wisconsin Sikh Temple on Sunday, developed a passion for music. His stepmother, Laura Page, 67, recalled that he worshiped the guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan.
It was his music, as our colleagues James Dao and Serge F. Kovaleski report, that investigators turned to for clues to help understand why Mr. Page opened fire on Sunday before he was shot and killed by the police.
Photos posted online on Myspace pages and the Web site BandMix show him performing in practice spaces with banners, flags and other Nazi paraphernalia.

Movie Review of Apabad

Recently released movie "Apabad" is the story of a BBA passed fellow who dreams to be a prolific writer. But there are certain factors that keep him away from his dream- his father who frequently insist him to join job and earn money despite being vacant. After unable to tolerate his father vexing, the protagonist Suyog (Raj Ballav), not a greater than life character but a simple character, attempts to kill himself but fortunately he reaches to the isolated place where there is no sign of any human existence. He is apart from his parents and his beloved to whom he was yet to purpose.
The movie repeatedly takes you to back to the past life of Suyog and clarifies his reason for his attempt to commit suicide. Initially, Suyog enjoys the isolated life. He turns out to be barbaric and struggle to meet his hand to mouth for nearly 2-3 months. Meanwhile he realizes that happiness is absurd if it is not shared. At last he returns to his dwelling place and he finds himself in the better position and his dream come true of being prolific writer. The whole movie moves around Suyog.

Thanks to Director Subash Koirala for this hard work and minuet observation, without which Apabad was not likely to get the realistic presentation it has. The story unfolds slowly and you may get bore but at the end you are sure to enjoy the movie. For those who enjoy the entertaining movies where the incidents unfold easily, it is really a no-movie. The viewer needs huge patient to watch the movie "Apabad".

However, most of the dialogues are philosophical in tone. Dialogue is the significant ornament that has really supported the plot of the movie. I don't have plans but I have dreams and other dialogues are catchy among others.

The movie cast really few characters. Nisha Adhikari as Sunanda is a nice girl who plays the love interest of Koirala in the film. She has a purpose in the movie while Rabi Giri and Bijaya Giri have justified their parts as Suyog's parents. However, it must be admitted that Raj Ballav Koirala still needs to work hard to gain professionalism in his acting career. His acting may disappoint viewers.

Though there are flaws in the movie, music part is really convincing and catchy.

Highly hyped movie Apabad is a lesson teaching movie and it is worth watching it. Specially for youths, it is a must watch movie. The movie "Apabad" is likely to be an apabad for the Nepali Film Industry.
