Radiohead Stage Collapse; One Dead, Three Injured Before Toronto Show

A stage at Toronto's Downsview Park has collapsed in advance of a scheduled Radiohead concert, killing one person and injuring at least three, CBC reported, citing Toronto paramedics. The person killed was reportedly a stage technicial; the stage collapsed while it was being prepared for the show, according to the Associated Press.

Promoter Live Nation has announced that the concert is cancelled. Gates had been scheduled to open at 5 p.m.

Last summer saw a number of fatalities and injuries due to stage collapses, with five people killed at a Sugarland concert in Indiana, three dead at a festival in Belgium, and eight injured at a Cheap Trick concert in Ottawa.
