After four top 10 albums on the Reggae chart, Rebulation could be on its way to its first top 20 set (maybe even top 10) on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart.
On Nielsen SoundScan's Building chart (below), the act's just-released album "Peace of Mind" is No. 9 -- a great indicator for where it could end up on the Billboard 200 chart next week. The tally is a precursor to the final Billboard 200 ranking -- reflecting the first four days (Monday through Thursday) of SoundScan's tracking week (ending Sunday, Jan. 15) as reported by six major merchants.While Rebelution has had success on the Reggae chart, they've never been higher than No. 54 on the Billboard 200, when "Bright Side of Life" debuted and peaked at No. 54 on the chart dated Aug. 22, 2009.
Elsewhere on the Building chart, Adele's "21" is at No. 1 while new albums from David Crowder Band ("Give Us Rest") and Snow Patrol ("Fallen Empires") appear at Nos. 2 and 3. The two albums are aiming to sell around 35,000-40,000 and 30,000 each, respectively.
The Black Keys' "El Camino" is No. 4, Drake's "Take Care" is No. 5 and Young Jeezy's "T M:103 Hustlerz Ambition" is No. 6. Rihanna's "Talk That Talk" (No. 7), Nickelback's "Here and Now" (No. 8) and Skrillex's "Bangarang" (No. 10) round out the rest of the Building chart's top 10.
The new Billboard 200 chart's top 10 will be revealed on the morning of Wednesday, Jan. 18.
