Natikaji Shrestha(Amritlal Shrestha) was born on 1952 in Pilchowk, Lalitpur, Nepal to Mohan Lal Shrestha and Champa Devi Shrestha. He lost his mother at the age of 5 and his father at the age of 10 and so he had raised by his grandparents at Gujeshwori where his grandfather was the temple priest.

 His maternal grandparents named him “Nati” (grandson) “Kaji” (aristocrat). He commenced his musical venture at the fragile age of 7 when he started playing the harmonium at the Gujeshwori Bhajan Mandali. His guru with whom he first learned music was Tuyu Narayan Shrestha. He became a regular in the bhajan sessions at the temple. He sang devotional songs and performed in various musical plays from an early age. At 25, Nati Kaji joined Radio Nepal in the capacity of a singer cum musician.From 1951 to 1978 he worked at Radio Nepal as a Nayab Subba.The List of song of Nati Kaji are as follows:
